There are two non-answers there. At the end of the day, I side with Apple on that idea,
that they cannot and should not provide one backdoor that opens up the theoretical door
to every iPhone. And in fact, ironically, the problem was actually solved by hackers.
So you can bet that Apple’s next iPhone…you can’t break its encryption. And I think that’s
essential for privacy, I think that’s essential for free speech, and I think that’s essential
for all across the world when you have evil regimes that are looking to oppress their
citizens, and again I believe that the iPhone is almost an extension of yourself, and it
won’t be long before there’s a technology to kind of hack the human mind, and I think
we’re on a very slippery slope there, so I would have sided with Apple in that particular
