  1. Wow youโ€™re almost at 500k! I hope I get there someday. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ

  2. Have you ever tried a green screen for background?? ๐Ÿ‘ฝ
So that way you can have a few different backgrounds and textures, (and that mistake of buying the skin tone colour wont matter ๐Ÿ˜›).

I am considering getting one to be able to add some more locations/backgrounds for my videos.
Trying to keep it interesting, by changing the location a lot within one video.
Only so many shots I can get in my office.

  3. Hi Tim, do you ever use green screen? I use green screen on my LIVE streams and because the room I use is a bit small, it find it difficult to get good separation to cut the green edges. Steve. Sorry didn't spot Lucid Level Branding Strategy's previous comment ๐Ÿ™„

  4. You can get the background darker if you come further away from the background. The hairlight in the back is a bit too bright. I would also make the fill light softer and place it right next to the camera. You will get better 3D feel, the shadow will be a bit stronger. Otherwise nice studio to make videos.

  5. Yet another video that is really only applicable to talking heads. Might be able to glean some info from it, but not much.

  6. Love it! I just remodeled my office but more for aesthetics than acoustics and the sound is tough. Iโ€™ve thought about sound absorbers but my office is so pretty Iโ€™d hate to do it. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I do have a decent Rode boom mic that helps a lot though.

  7. I have a green screen from another channel they are not using it any longer I lucked into it. Maybe this spring in the Greenhouse I will setup and use it. Getting to the end of growing season now. Thanks for all this great info. Can not wait to see your first new production with your new setup.

  8. Your soundproofing tip was the best. Didn't know you could make enough of a difference with so few foam panels. Thanks!

  9. I added a smart plug with a power strip. All of my lights are plugged in so when I walk into the room I say โ€œokay Google letโ€™s recordโ€ all the lights come on, the camera, mic and audio recorder starts up. Makes it very nice and extremely motivating. We used Google homes anyway and the smart plug was $7 at Walmart. Love you setup Tim!

  10. Am still making videos without a mic and am looking forward to buying me a new mic while am using my phone to make videos, if anyone know a good phone mic please recommend

  11. I really like the new background, I don't think you blend in at all. I had that problem with an old "set" (my living room wall) that was essentially the same color as my hair. Oops! A weekend of painting fixed that! ๐Ÿ™‚ This was great information. Lighting is still an absolute mystery to me.

  12. Hey Tim…I don't even have a YT Channel, but it is a dream of mine to maybe one day get up the courage to start one. Anyway, I just want to say a huge 'thank you' for all you have taught me (I still have a long way to go though LOL). I am so impressed by you sweetie, as well as your beautiful family, (yes, that's the language of a blessed Nana speaking, and which apparently embarrasses my adult daughter). Enjoy your home studio because there's no doubt that you earned it!

  13. Can you lower the power of your hair light? It seems that that light is overpowering and causing your image to wash out a bit. This happens to me in the portrait studio if I have the hair light too bright.

  14. Great video, nice setup… next I'm going to work on my audio. I have the camera I want but no mic yet. Vlogger here๐Ÿ™‚

  15. I've been a fan of TechSmith and Camtasia / Jing for years! As an educator, they were the go to software. Still using Camtasia. TechSmith even helped the school I was at set up a recording studio for our Advanced Journalism kids. Great people there. Glad to see them get a shout out!

  16. Tim: In the past, sometimes my nosehairs or earhairs we're sticking out and everyone in the comments section just talked about that
Me: Isn't that good for the algorithm if you have a lot of viewers commenting on your video?

  17. Most of my videos are shot outdoors and I have to rely on natural light but I totally see the need for extra lighting indoors. Also I think you need some plants in that studio. Like a dozen or so haha

  18. Very good ideas and suggestions! We are excited about the future of our channel. Thanks so much for your help for us new creators! God bless!

  19. Hey guys, I just shared my second youtube video. It would mean a lot if some of you could check it out. Thanks for reading. ๐Ÿ™‚
